This slide show has two of my favorite photos from Julie's wedding that was in Fall of 2007. The others are from our day at the pool when my cute girlfriend Kelly came into town.

Kelly came here for a wedding, when she came into town, we went to Gateway and wedding gift shopped, then to dinner, then to the art festival. Shelbie got a cute dog that hangs from strings, and can appear to be a real doggie walking. Dave says that this is as close to a real dog she's gonna get :-).

Saturday was planted about 30 bushes. We have been working on finishing our yard gradually all summer so far. It is the best back yard I have had as my adult life. My favoritest was the one when I was young, when I had a swing set, a play house, and a neighorhood full of friends and I had no concept of responsibility. The yard was just magically there, and I got to play, play, play! Now, I fully understand what goes into a beautiful yard. We got an in-ground trampoline, curbing all along the house and fence line. A shed, added to our patio and added a gazebo that has a misting system. We got a new BBQ and added a special spot for this. We also added curbing in our front with a basket ball system added to the side of our driveway. We were going to do a half-court, but after the $$ added up, we decided the driveway is just fine! Our backyard is so wonderful to enjoy, and we are probably 90% done! Just a few final touches :-) All the hard work is paying off, and this has become my most favorite back yards' ever! We also have a neighborhood pool, that has been enjoyed every weekend.

Mikey has been in Mississippi visiting with his moms side of the family for most of the summer and has been swimming lots and got to experience floundering. He is back this Tuesday, and his 15th Birthday is on the 12th of this month! He is such a good kid.....doesn't even know what he wants for his birthday. One of the easiest kids I have ever met! We miss him and are excited that he is back soon!

Dave is always busy with a project. His biggest one is the yard, and his most recent is the outdoor speakers he just installed. He was in the attic, during these hot summer days, covered in clothing and goggles from head to toe to protect his skin from the itcy insulation. He is a perfectionist, so it took a while, but it was well worth it. We now have an outdoor sound system, that is ran by remote. It makes the BBQ's so much more enjoyable! He is a highly skilled man, who does every project well. I realize how much I 'throw stuff together' after I watch him for a short while.

Shelbie is spending most her days at her dads, as I work full-time and she has a wonderful step-mom who is able to care for her during the days. The commute is over 2 hours every day, and since I would never make her endure that, she stays most the week nights at her dads, and is having a great time. She has been in diving classes and is quite the well-postured diver. She got to go with her dad to Lake Powell on a family trip, and is in Park City over the 4th with him as well. She is like a little fish in the water....cannot get that girl to stay above water, nor get out. She is all about play and fun......I could learn lots from her!

I have been continually going to school through the summer, in an E-Business class for the next few weeks. I am looking to switch careers (again) as I would like to get out of the sales career and away from sales driven qoutas and long work hours with a long commute. I am not sure if I will go back into hair full-time or part-time. Looking at my options and hope to have a decision by fall. I would like to be home more once my girl is back into school, and be closer so I can be more involved in her little life that I realize has gone by WAY too fast! In my free-time, I usually do homework, and research jobs.....and of course a little yard work helping Dave and enjoying lazy moments at the pool. I did go to my first Demolition Derby over the 4th. It was a fun time, with lots of entertainment. Not only entertainment from the action of crashing cars.....but also fun in watching the people who attend these functions. It was a good time!

Being July, Summer is flying way too fast! Summer is my favorite!

Shelbie Dance 2008

Shelbie was in 2 performances and 1 competition. Her team got first place, and she was the leader of the pack, as she has the dance memorized better than anyone.....and this is with minimal practice. She is a naturalist, and beautiful up there on stage. I am completely proud of her!

Just figured this out on my own......feeling so proud! :-)

I wanted to start a family blogspot, becuase everyone is doing it, and I cannot be the last ;-) Actually, it is time that I started to post and share my family times. I feel so out of touch with all I have going on in my life, that I want to have a means to stay in touch and share my fun family adventures with all I care about. I have newly established a wonderful family, and I want to start sharing in hopes family and friends will better know us, and we can all feel closer and know eachother better!
